Well hello there! My name is Abigail,(a.k.a. Shambs) and I absolutely love art. Mostly though, I love fan art. Especially Harry Potter fan art. I love all the different ways that people picture the characters and the different ways that they portray them. Anyway, here's a little bit about myself:
I love love love LOVE tennis. It is the best sport in the world and so much fun to play. I was the first seed for my tennis team this year, and, if I do say so myself, we pretty much kicked ass. I'm also on the swim team, even though I suck. I love sports in general and will try just about anything. Outdoors is generally my favorite place to be; whether I'm reading a book or drawing something or just hanging around with my friends, I love being outside. I am also a book FREAK. Most of my friends are completely in awe of all the books that I've read, are in the process of reading, or plan on reading in the near future, but I can't help it. Reading is just so much fun. I also really love drawing, and some people have even been kind enough to tell me that they think my drawings are pretty good. I enjoy drawing flowers and trees, but my real passion is drawing people. There are just so many different emotions and expressions and positions that the human body can be in, it would be impossible to draw them all, even if you dedicated you're whole life to it. They're just something immensely satisfying about taking someone standing right in front of you, and immortalizing them forever on a piece of paper. Now, I know that that's what cameras are for, but cameras can only capture what's real. They can't do shit for making something come alive from your imagination. They can't make something tangible and real out of a simple thought.
Whoa. I guess I got a little deep there. Well, it does happen occasionally. Anyway, I love drawing and looking at peoples' drawings and telling them how AMAZING they are as an artist. Oh, I also love music. Techno, heavy metal, alternative, jazz, blues, comedy, indie, pop, and pretty much anything but country. Bleh. Right now, I can't stop listening to the Glee soundtrack, which is an absolutely FANTASTIC TV show. Also, the new Train CD is great, and Owl City is an old favorite of mine. I saw them in concert once and it was just WOW :D Sooo, I guess that's about it. Thanks for reading!
